Controlled Atmosphere Rooms

Dry Rooms · Inert Atmosphere · ATEX Zones

Dry rooms, inert atmosphere and ATEX zones where standard air is incompatible with the product.

In detail

In some processes standard air is incompatible with the product. The atmosphere has to be engineered. Three families under a single engineering capability. Dry Rooms: dew point from −40°C to −60°C where humidity causes product degradation, dimensional instability or safety risk. Inert Atmosphere: nitrogen or argon enclosures for total oxygen displacement in additive manufacturing with reactive metal powders, lithium processing and air-sensitive chemical synthesis. ATEX Zones: Zone 0/1/2 classification for gas/vapour and Zone 20/21/22 for dust under Directives 2014/34/EU and 1999/92/EC — with direct experience in ATEX projects for pharmaceutical applications.

One engineering capability. Three answers to the same underlying problem: standard atmosphere is a process variable that must be controlled. HVAC systems sized for the full atmospheric management load at production scale, not pilot laboratory scale.
