Vibration at nanometre scale. Thermal drift at thousandths of a degree. The measurement is only as good as the environment in which it is made.
El mercado en detalle
Metrology and precision calibration laboratories have environmental requirements that standard cleanroom specifications do not capture. A metrology laboratory operating at nanometre measurement uncertainty requires vibration isolation to class VC-D or VC-E — vibration invisible to human perception but catastrophic for an interferometer. Thermal stability of ±0.1°C for dimensional measurement traceability. Acoustic isolation for audiometric calibration. EMI shielding for electromagnetic measurement laboratories.
We design metrology and calibration laboratories through our Technology Spaces capability — specifying vibration class, thermal stability, acoustic attenuation and particle control to the requirements of the measurement method, not to a generic laboratory standard. ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation documentation under ENAC supported from the design phase. A measurement result is only defensible if the environment that produced it is qualified.
